Al-Ula adds Wimbush to their roster, ex Kawasaki BT

Thomas Wimbush

Division 1 newcomer Al-Ula added to their roster 30-year old American forward Thomas Wimbush (201cm-88kg-1993, college: Fairmont State, agency: Slash Sports) for season 2024-25. Wimbush played last season at Kawasaki Brave Thunders in Japanese B1 League. In 60 games he recorded 13.3ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.3apg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week (2 times).
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Gevi Napoli Basket in Italian Serie A where in 10 games he averaged 13.7ppg and 5.9rpg in that year. Quite impressive season as he was voted to Eurobasket.com Italian SerieA All-Imports Team and Eurobasket.com All-Italian SerieA Third Team.
In 2017 he was drafted by Long Island Nets (G-League) as #4 pick overall.
He graduated from Fairmont State and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
Wimbush is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in France (JSF Nanterre), Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg), Russia (Zenit), Turkey (Petkimspor), NBA (LA Clippers) and NBA Summer League (Atlanta Hawks).
His team won VTB Supercup in 2023.
